So there’s this song. We’ve known each other for a couple of years now, and we’ve hung out a handful of times, but it’s never been anything serious. A few days ago I woke up and had him stuck in my head - he was just hanging out in there, reminding me of how soothing he is. Later that day, I listened to him for the first time since our last hangout and I fell in love. So now we’re getting married and everything’s great.

My music boyfriend is 3 Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot. The melody quietly builds with Israel’s vocals, taking us through the lyrics like we’re watching a recap of a couple’s relationship from meeting to death. Heavy, I know. You might grab something lighter from the song, but whatever the meaning that Blind Pilot was striving for, 3 Rounds and a Sound is simply beautiful.
